1947-1950

The United States' involvement in World War II officially ended on 31 December 1946.  When MAG-25 returned from China in June 1946, VMR-153 remained in Tsingtao, never to rejoin the group.  MAG-25 relocated to Marine Corps Air Station El Toro, where it was rejoined by VMR-253 on 18 July 1946.  MAG-25 was deactivated, along with VMR-253, on 31 May 1947, but VMR-152 continued its mission.  MAG-25's deactivation proved to be short-lived.
